Our Sapphire Anniversary!

A Gift of Silver

Our Class donation for our Silver Jubilee amounted to over P100,000.00, to benefit the projects of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (US$1,350.00), the St. Theresa's Alumni Association (STAA, P30,000.00), and the Sambayan Educational Fund, Inc., the tuition-reduction program of STCQC (P30,000.00). The donations were presented to representatives of the beneficiaries during the January 25, 2003 Alumnae Homecoming.

And the 2003 Alumnae Homecoming itself, which our Class organized and hosted, earned for the STAA almost P100,000.00 in ticket and membership revenues.

One of the special beneficiaries of our Silver Jubilee was Stephanie Louise Medina, who was featured in the Blue Page of Treasures and was a special guest of the 2003 Alumnae Homecoming. A leukemia survivor since she was 7 years old, she is now 12 and is about to finish the final cycle of her chemotherapy. She's eager to go back to school and resume her activities.

Theresians All

I marched the green grass brown and loved-hated every moment.
I worked and got scared and grew strong in Tondo and cried
when it was time to leave.
I kept a record of grammatical errors that I heard, right beside the record of mannerisms that I saw.
I loved the retreats and hoped that they would last forever.
I wished upon a lot of stars and chased a lot of rainbows
I believed in a lot of things and fought for them...
I was a Theresian.

Our Class graduated from St. Theresa's College QC, on March 28, 1978. There were 151 graduates at that time, but our Class encompasses all those who were our classmates at St. Theresa's, from the time we completed kindergarten in 1967, our elementary education in 1974, our high school in 1978, and the years in between.
